9 days to the 2010 LA Marathon

The Los Angeles Marathon is an annual marathon held in Los Angeles, California since 1986. It was inspired by the success of the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles.

On Sunday, March 21, 1 million spectators are expected to line the brand-new “Stadium to Sea” course to watch thousands of runners navigate their way from Dodger Stadium to Santa Monica in the 2010 Honda LA Marathon presented by K-Swiss .

Live bands and cheerleaders will be stationed at mile markers throughout the race to entertain spectators and motivate runners along a route that passes by some of LA’s most famous sites, including the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Sunset Boulevard, Rodeo Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard.

The race ends at the beach adjacent to Santa Monica Pier, and spectators are invited to watch the race on a huge, seaside video board while waiting for friends and family to cross the finish line.

The excitement of the marathon begins at Dodger Stadium on Friday with the LA Marathon Expo, which continues through Saturday and features entertainment, interactive exhibits and marathon-related giveaways, goodies and information.

This year, 25,000 marathoners are expected along a 26.2-mile marathon route. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to watch the most entertaining marathons of all time. More information here
